Sue is a member of the Lord Mayors Advisory Board, the Governments Women's Business Council and the Worshipful Company of Insurers. She is a Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL), receiving the IIL President’s Award and was a participant on the BBC Expert Women initiative.
Leadership in a challenging environment.
During his 35 years in the Royal Navy Tim commanded two submarines, a frigate, a frigate squadron and a UK Task Group on a global deployment. His last appointment, as a Vice Admiral, was Deputy Commander-in-Chief Fleet; running the Navy on a day to day basis (‘COO’ of the Royal Navy). He retired in 2007.
We are delighted that we will be welcoming Father Andrew Stringfellow who will talk to us about “the power of living on the margins”. Father Andrew is a catholic priest working in the inner city of Manchester for the last ten years and is also sought as a speaker on leadership and education.
We are delighted to be joined by Barbara Schönhofer who will tell us all the “Behaviours and Leadership skills required for the C-Suite.” Barbara is Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, International Executive Search, for The Jacobson Group where she manages Board and senior management search assignments.

We started the 2014/2015 season with a heavyweight speaker from the insurance industry. Vincent Vandendael is a member of the Executive Board of Lloyd’s and as Director, International Markets had much to share with The City Forum about the hopes and aspirations for the Lloyd’s market globally.
Before the Luncheon season kicked off we held a less formal event to give members that had joined since April the chance to meet the members of the Committee and other members in order to learn a bit more about the City Forum and what they could hope to contribute to and achieve from their membership.
