VICE ADMIRAL (RETIRED) SIR TIM MCCLEMENT KCB OBE
Leadership in a challenging environment.
During his 35 years in the Royal Navy Tim commanded two submarines, a frigate, a frigate squadron and a UK Task Group on a global deployment. His last appointment, as a Vice Admiral, was Deputy Commander-in-Chief Fleet; running the Navy on a day to day basis (‘COO’ of the Royal Navy). He retired in 2007.
Since retiring Tim has built up a diverse portfolio. In the 11 years since he left the Navy he has been involved in 5 start-up companies and an NED in 5.
He is Chairman of Mobilarm, the world’s leading brand in offshore safety solutions. Tim also acts as a coach and mentor to Senior Executives for leadership, management and team building.
Key previous appointments have included: Chairman of Protection Group International, an integrated, intelligence-led, risk mitigation group; Chairman of CTruk Group, which created businesses that combined technical innovation with disruptive processes; NED for Subsea Resources Ltd, a deep sea salvage company; MD of the start-up Flagship SuperYacht Academy, which delivered individual and, uniquely, whole crew training to SuperYacht crews; Chairman of CWind, which constructs & maintains offshore wind-farms (acquired by Global Maritime Services Ltd acquired in February 2016) and Chairman of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
